This shortened version of the NEO PI-R™ provides a quick, reliable, and accurate measure of the five domains of adult (ages 17 years and older) personality. It is especially useful when time is limited and global information on personality is considered sufficient. Now, the NEO-FFI offers observer-rating versions of the instrument NEO-FFI Form R (Adult Men) and NEO-FFI Form R (Adult Women). A self-report version for college students, the NEO-FFI Form S (College Age), also is available. All NEO-FFI scoring profiles have a new combined gender profile grid for plotting T scores, thereby supplementing the existing male and female grids. These enhancements to the NEO-FFI, coupled with the self-report information from the NEO-FFI Form S, give you the necessary tools you need to create and carry out comprehensive treatment plans. A brief supplement (Materials Update) directs you to the appropriate location in the NEO PI-R Professional Manual for psychometric and technical information about the NEO-FFI additions. The NEO-FFI can help you understand an individual's basic emotional, interpersonal, experiential, attitudinal, and motivational styles. It also can help you quickly develop rapport with the examinee, provide meaningful feedback and insight that will help your client develop a greater self-understanding, enable you to anticipate the course of therapy, and help you select the optimal treatment based on his or her personality. - Sixty items are rated on a 5-point scale.
- Administration takes as little as 10-15 minutes; calculation of raw scores takes only 1-2 minutes.
- Profile grids for plotting T-score profiles.
- Correlations of .77-.92 for the NEO-FFI Form S and .88-.94 for the NEO-FFI Form R with the NEO PI-R domain scales.
- Internal consistency values range from .68 to .86 for the NEO-FFI Form S and .76 to .90 for the NEO-FFI Form R.
- Use Your NEO Summary Feedback Sheets to provide information to your clients about their scores (Form S only).
- The NEO PI-R Professional Manual provides information on NEO-FFI test development and use, as well as validation data and norms for male and female adults.
