Universal Nonverbal Intelligence Test™ (UNIT™) Product Recall
Thank you for your purchase of the Universal Nonverbal Intelligence Test™ (UNIT™). Riverside Publishing, the publisher of the UNIT, has informed us that the Symbolic Memory Cards may contain paint with excess levels of lead. This affects cards purchased between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2007. No injuries have been reported. However, Riverside Publishing is replacing the cards, at no charge, with Symbolic Memory Cards that do not exceed the federal standard for lead paint. As part of the replacement process, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has asked that all old cards be returned and properly discarded.
PAR is happy to assist you with this process. Please fill out the following Replacement Request Form; we will ensure that you are sent your replacement cards along with a postage-paid return envelope so that you can send back your old cards. Note that each UNIT kit includes 10 Symbolic Memory Cards. Please ensure that you return all 10 cards for each UNIT kit purchased from PAR.
The Symbolic Memory Cards set includes 10 square plastic white tiles: five displaying black figures and five displaying green figures. Please ensure that you return all 10 cards for each UNIT kit purchased from PAR.
